Memorial Day

Chris & Shana came down to visit for Memorial Day, which we celebrated with some slip-n-sliding and a baseball game. All we needed was a Jello salad for pure Americana.

Visit from Aunt Moni

My Aunt Moni, who lives in Germany, came stateside for a visit this summer. Since our opportunities to get together are few and far between, we were so excited to see her - and Omi and Opu, too.

Mother's Day in GA

Charlie's birthday and Mother's Day have comingled for the past few years. This year, we got a whole week in between and a special surprise. We all got to meet the latest addition to our family, Carter, and spend some time with both sets of grandparents.

Ahoy, Matey!

After some initial discussion of a Star Wars party, Charlie switched gears and requested a pirate theme for his 6th birthday. He had a great time celebrating with his buddies, though I think Evan may have had at least as good a time. Read on . . .

Had to get the Legos in there somewhere!

Evan made this ship for the kids to destroy with "cannon balls" - black water balloons!

After the ship was destroyed, the kids found the pieces from a treasure map and found their way to the buried gold.

Evan got the honor of pelting the kids with the leftover water balloons.
